‘Speaking From the Ground Up: Street Papers Challenging Global Perspectives on Poverty'

The Annual INSP Conference made a triumphant return to the home of INSP's global headquarters, for the first time since 2004, with a 3-day conference hosted in partnership with local street paper The Big Issue in Scotland.

2008 Conference Highlights:

• Participation by 93 delegates representing street papers in 32 countries, and special guests from media
• Official civic reception, featuring welcome address by Scotland's First Minister and INSP supporter, Alex Salmond
• The first-ever 'International Street Paper Awards', celebrating the best of independent street paper journalism worldwide
