Ten blind and visually impaired children had the day of their live when professional surfers from California and the Netherlands taught them how to surf. This inspite of the restrictions they normally would have when in the water. The children aged 8 to 18 year were clinging to their boards and their tutor in the morning, later in the day they were moving around confidently on their boards. The surfing clinic demonstrates that visually impaired children can broaden their boundaries and build more confidence.
